Columbus City School teachers participated in STEAMM Rising, an Ohio State collaboration with the City of Columbus, Columbus City Schools, and Columbus State Community College to establish pathways for children to careers in science, technology, engineering, the arts, mathematics, and medicine. On June 4, 2024, teachers from the Columbus City Schools visited the museum to learn about our educational programs at the K-12 and university levels, participate in Earth science activities, and learn from leaders in government (Ohio Division of Geological Survey) and industry (Bowser Morner) about career opportunities in the Earth sciences.
