The Orton Geological Museum includes a collection of more than 500,000 rock, mineral, and specimens. In 2020, we began a long-term project to digitize the collection, beginning with uploading the handwritten entries in the catalog to an electronic catalog system. This will significantly enhance access to the resources in the research collection.
