Museum Curation Certificate Program

The Ohio State University now offers a Certificate in Natural History Museum Curation, with museum coursework involving study and practice in the Orton Geological Museum or another facility (such as Ohio State's Museum of Biological Diversity). The program is available to undergraduate and graduate students. Coursework involves two or more advanced courses in a discipline (such as Earth Materials, Paleontology, Petrology, Sedimentation & Stratigraphy, Evolution, Organismal Diversity, Biodiversity of Ohio), plus EARTHSC 5191.01, Internship in the Earth Sciences, Natural History Museum, and EARTHSC 5501, Natural History Museum Data Curation. EARTHSC 5191.01 (Internship) may be repeated for credit, and the content of the course will vary from semester to semester.
